| He attended Michaelhouse school in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa and is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA (SA). |
| BUSINESS CAREER |
| Mark joined Price Waterhouse in
June 1981 and started developing Lotus 123 macro spreadsheet applications
in 1986. In 1989 he started "Diametrix Solutions" a management consulting company offering customised spreadsheet solutions. In 1990 he formed "Electronic Property Services" (EPS) a property management company. Mark developed over 25 spreadsheet macros programs for EPS before selling the company in 1996. The company managed 32 sectional title townhouse complexes, 40 factories, offices, houses and flat complexes. In 1993 he qualified as a Certified Lotus Engineer. In 1994 Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) was first released. Soon after Mark started developing Microsoft Excel spreadsheet solutions with Excel 5. In 1997 he qualified as a Certified Microsoft Professional (MCP) on Excel VBA and in 1999 Microsoft Visual Basic. Mark has consulted to many
companies on all aspects of Accounting and Financial Management. |

Microsoft Exchange. |
| In the early days of spreadsheeting the market never really recognised the power of macros and VBA. Fortunately the business world is changing fast, especially with all the programming and development tools available for Microsoft Office. |

| MILITARY CAREER |
| Mark joined the South African Airforce as a trainee pilot in May 1975 and qualified as a pilot on North American Harvards and Impala jet aircraft in June 1976. He later trained as a fighter pilot on Impala's, Mirage III and Mirage F1 fighter jets. He has over 1000 flying hours of which over 350 hours are on Mirage fighter jets. |

| HOBBIES |
| Running. Mark completed 2 Comrades Marathons in 1984 and 1986.
(This is
a very famous annual 90km+ road running race
run between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa). Cycling. Mark completed the Argus cycle tour in 2004. |
